Alkaloid brevikarin - a naturally occurring substance found in plant Carex brevicollis DC (Family Cypera-ceae), is widespread in Codri Moldova. Antitubercular activity of brevikarin investigated the influence on the growth of strains of Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv compared with a control solution of known drug Rifampicin.
