Temporo-mandibular joint - one of the most complex joints in the human body. As a natural part of the body by eating, talking, performing other functions, this anatomical body undergoes stress and wear. This is the only joint in the human body, which is connected to the same bone in two places. For this reason, any defect in one joint leads to disruption of the normal functioning of the second. The causes leading to the destruction of the temporomandibular joint: 1) micro- and macro injuries 2) infection 3) degenerative joint disease 4) tumor Main objective of the restoration of the temporomandibular joint - to ensure its proper functioning and quality of life of the patient (speech, eating, oral hygiene, etc.). The modular design of the implant facilitates the work of the surgeon and can take into account the anatomical features of the patient. The temporal and mandibular components made of titanium alloy on the surface of a layer of diamond-like coatings, fixing part has a coating of porous titanium and hydroxyapatite. Both components are available in three sizes. Condyle prosthesis is made of CoCrMo-alloy and available in five sizes. Box is made of ultra-high molecular polyethylene. All components are designed with maximum similarity with respect to the anatomy of the lower jaw and skull base patients. The experience gained in developing the method completely replace the temporo-mandibular joint, can be used in difficult cases of maxillo-facial surgery, when individual decisions for individual patients are particularly important.
