Purpose of the development: Technology of production of ceramic powder stabilized nanocrystalline silicon dioxide can be used in the manufacture of ceramic materials of construction, functional, medical supplies.

Recommended application field: It can be used in the production of ceramic materials based on zirconium dioxide with improved performance properties, such as: - Functional ceramics (fuel cells, sensors, solid-sensors) - Structural ceramics (machine parts, pistons, a pair of friction) - Instrumental ceramics (blades) - Ceramic medical devices (bone implants, scalpels, filters).

Technical characteristic: Temperature of the water spray or alcohol suspension of nanocrystalline zirconia particles monoclinic - 190 - 600 ° C. The size of zirconia particles with a spherical shape - 13,7-37,6 nm.

Advantages over analogues: The known method does not provide a clean monodisperse stabilized zirconia powders with nanosized particles. In this method solved the problem of increasing chemical purity and monodispersity stabilized zirconia powder, which by mixing a certain suspension of nanocrystalline zirconia particles monoclinic derived hydrothermal treatment of an aqueous solution of zirconium oxychloride with a certain stabilizing metal salt solution and a certain spray mixture into the hot zone at temperature increases chemical purity and monodispersity of the resulting powder stabilized zirconia.

Getting powder stabilized zirconia comprises spraying an aqueous solution of a mixture of zirconium salts and metals, which reacts with zirconia solid solution (in particular, salts of yttrium or calcium, or magnesium, or scandium), through low-temperature plasma arc and the mixture of water or an alcohol suspension of nanocrystalline zirconia particles monoclinic with an aqueous or alcoholic solution of a stabilizing metal salt spray ultrasound in the hot zone the temperature 190-600 ° C. The use of water or an alcohol suspension of nanocrystalline powders of high purity zirconia monoclinic advance received under analogue, can reduce the presence of ready-stabilized zirconia powder impurities SiO2, Al2O3, Cr2O3, Na2O, Fe2O3, CaO, and the ions Fe +3, Al 3 , Cr +3, Na +, and others., which increases the chemical purity of the resulting powder. Mixing the suspension with an aqueous or alcoholic solution of the stabilizing oxide increases the chemical homogeneity of the resulting powder, ie distribution of the stabilizing oxide in it. A spray mixture into the hot zone the temperature 190-600 ° C using ultrasound generates a cloud of fine droplets of similar shape and size, where water or alcohol evaporate quickly and formed similar-sized spherical particles. This prevents the formation of agglomerates, reduces the range of particle size distribution and provides them with a spherical shape, and increases the monodispersity of finished powder. This provides a high chemical purity, monodisperse and spherical particles of nanocrystalline powders stabilized zirconia.
