HYDROGEL PREVENTION AND TREATMENT MATERIALS ON THE BASE OF CHITOSAN AND POLYVINYLPYRROLIDONE WITH IMPROVED PROPERTIES

Advantages over analogues:
Advantage of hydrogel composite materials, in comparing with the other surface-active preparations - cremes,
lotions, liniments, is their versatility and broad activity spectrum. While employed, these materials create
shielding barrier, which prevents contamination and infection propagation.
The development is good enough differentiated by the chemical content of hydrogellayer and its natural cotton basis.
The fixation of hydrogel onto the cotton textile surface allows:
a) to improve physical and mechanical properties of hydrogel
b) to ease the usage of hydrogel material
c) to create hydrogel patches for individual use.

Description of the development:
() The technology of the covalent fixation of polymeric hydrogel scaffold onto the cotton textile surface was developed.
The fixed hydrogel layer is the complex of natural and synthetic polymers - chitosan, which is hemo-, bio-compatible and
non-toxic with distinct absorbing properties.
Obtained hydrogel dressings (masrs, patches) can be used as carries for bio-active substances, medicaments, thus applied in cosmetology for skin care and in medical practice for skin pathologies prevention and treatment.
Hydrogels, fixed onto the cotton textile surface can be loaded with needed substances - drugs, vitamins, protein hydrolysates,
AHA-acids and other bio-active substances.
