SPECIAL SUPERHYDROPHOBIC COATINGS FOR REDUCTION OF LEAKAGE CURRENTS FLOOR SILICONE INSULATORS
Purpose of the development:
Coating is intended to make water and dirt repellent silicone insulators to reduce the surface conductivity and leakage during transport and redistribution of power. The coatings may be applied as a newly manufactured insulators, and the already exploited in existing power lines.
Recommended application field:
High-voltage power lines, power lines electrified transport.
Technical characteristic:
Contact angles with the surface of the insulator surface water and aqueous solutions of at least 160 degrees. on freshly prepared surfaces and not less than 145 deg. within a year of operation in high humidity and air pollution.

Technical and economic effect:
Applying the method of nanotechnology, the phenomenon of self-organization of nanostructures hydrophobic materials. This improves water and dirt repellent surface electrical rubber, resulting in a significant reduction of energy losses at the surface leakage current.
