Gas and gas-diesel engines can be used to drive the compressors, pumps and other units.

Cogeneration (CHP) are based on the engine-generators (ADHD) with recycling heat of the exhaust gases, engine cooling water, lubrication oil and gas-air mixture after the turbocharger. The fuel in the engine-generators are used: --- Natural gas; --- Petroleum gas; --- Mine methane gas; --- Bio-gas or other flammable gas with a lower calorific value 1200 kcal / nm [3] and the gas pressure in the supply line to the engine 0.05-0.4 MPa (0.5-4 kgf / cm [2]).
