TECHNOLOGY OF NANO STRUCTURING THE SURFACE MACHINE PARTS
Purpose of the development:
The technology allows to form nanocrystalline structure of the working surfaces of parts
machines. The technology is easy to implement on turning, round and surface grinding machines,
slightly to modernize without large capital investments
Recommended application field:
Technology can be used in food processing, machinery, coal and
oil and gas industry to strengthen sleeves and pump shafts, rods of hydraulic cylinders,
fingers pipelines and compressors, the end surfaces of gears and handling rings
hydraulic pumps, work surfaces and paper cutting knives and other woodworking
of flat and cylindrical surfaces.

Characteristics of the development:
The technology is based on the use of high-energy friction. In the area of frictional contact
workpiece and a special tool is an intensive firming
heating of the surface layers of detail with speeds (105-106) K / s while the plastic
deformation and rapid cooling. Such conditions allow dispersed structure and
saturate the surface layers of different alloying elements of technological environments,
served in the processing area. The thickness of the hardened layer on steels up to 100-800 m, microhardness
12.6 GPa, the roughness of the hardened surface Ra = 0,4-3,0 m. Depth and microhardness of the hardened
surface layer and the surface roughness can be enhanced processing modes.
The resulting surface nanocrystalline structures have low (0.02-0.04), the coefficient of friction
Slip over wrought iron (0,16-0,18). They are characterized by high wear resistance,
corrosion-erosion resistance and contact fatigue fracture.

machine parts, without changing the structure of the matrix material. The use of technology increases
life of the machine parts in 2-3 times, while the complexity of 20-30%.
