Collection of oil and petroleum products in the field of oil spills, contamination of soil, sewage, etc. The hydrophobic fibrous sorbent is based on environmentally friendly inorganic materials treated with compounds that give the sorbent properties of high absorption of hydrocarbons. The absorbent capacity of the sorbent is from 20 to 70 g of oil per 1g sorbent depending on the viscosity of mineral oil. Known adsorbents have similar use absorbency from 7.5 to 30 g per 1 g of sorbent. A significant advantage is also the reuse of the sorbent. Application of the sorbent technology and its use in wastewater storm-water systems will reduce the content of gasoline, oil and diesel fuel are within the MPC.
