HYDROGEN-FREE GLOW DISCHARGE NITRIDE HARDENING TECHNOLOGY
Purpose of the development:
The world's first physical Podolsky and Technology Centre Khmelnitsky National University developed the technology of nitriding in a glow discharge, which precludes the use of atmospheres with hydrogen, which increases operational performance machined parts, eliminates hydrogen embrittlement. Improved working conditions - the technology is environmentally clean.
Recommended application field:
The technology can be applied in all areas where there is a need to improve the processing of the resource tools, accessories, parts, working in heavy wear, cavitation and corrosion effects on the environment are: mechanical engineering, aviation, manufacturing of vehicles and agricultural machinery, food processing, wood processing, processing plastics, casting light alloys, stone processing, etc.
Technical characteristic:
Bench tests of nitrided in hydrogen-gas environments gears, crankshafts, camshafts and spline, rockers showed an increase in resistance 1,6-3 times, plunger pumps and bearings of special purpose - to 1.5-fold compared with standard technology. Industrial testing nitrided in a glow discharge finger traction conveyor chains, parts, industrial equipment for processing diamonds, screw injection molding machines, guides, nozzles molding machines operating in abrasive environments, performance enhancing their durability in 1,9-3,5 times. Tests nitrided parts production machines for the food industry, facilities, operating in hostile environments, confirmed increase their wear resistance is 2-5 times. Testing under production conditions in hydrogen-free environments nitrided metal cutting tools (cutters, drills, etc.) has raised its durability in 1.7-3 times depending on the cutting conditions. Durability nitrided woodworking tools increased by 3-5 times.
