Methods for proximate analysis based on recording and processing thermograms cooling and thermoelectric and thermodynamic characteristics of the test samples of the metal. The complex includes thermographic, thermoelectric and thermodynamic systems for the rapid analysis of iron-colored and, based on aluminum, copper and zinc alloys. Plants for thermal analysis set of disposable immersion graphite and liquid sand or reusable (up to 1000 samples) from filling stained metal mold, optoelectronic or thermoelectric temperature transducers. Provides control of the content of the following elements: C and Si - in cast iron; C - a steel; Al, Cu - in zinc alloys; Fe, Al, Zn - in copper alloys; Si, Fe, Mg, Ni, Cu, Mn, Zn and Ti - in aluminum alloys, as well as the following technical characteristics: the degree of modification; the number of non-metallic inclusions; porosity; volume shrinkage cavity; the length of the grain boundaries, followed by assessment of the associated parameters. Systems for the determination of the thermoelectric C, Si, Mn and carbon equivalent contain consumable elements and materials and can be used for iron and steel. The form of graphite (lamellar, vermicular and globular) is determined by the thermal diffusivity in a specially cast iron samples or castings. In the industrial use of methods and means of the complex provides rapid analysis of alloys, including content control elements with an absolute error of 0.10%, and certain forms of graphite with a statistical certainty of not less than 95%, which allows to obtain stable metal with specified properties at the lowest possible cost.
