Technical and economic effect: Hydrogen Energy - one of the most promising alternative directions. The calorific value of hydrogen is 142 MJ / kg and on this parameter it three times more efficient than gasoline. The only product of burning hydrogen Water is therefore hydrogen - is "environmentally tolerant" fuel.

One of the major problems is the compact storage of hydrogen. Effective and safe way (as opposed to the use of compressed hydrogen) is a chemical bonding of hydrogen in metal hydrides. They can store large amounts of hydrogen and back to single it out with small changes in temperature and pressure. There is growing interest in the light metal hydrides, such as lithium, aluminum, magnesium, and a variety of compounds and compositions based on them. Especially interesting magnesium hydride, retroactive capacity 7,6 wt.% And is much cheaper than other metal hydride materials. Composite materials based on Mg can efficiently absorb and release hydrogen.
