AIRCRAFT ACTIVE PROTECTION SYSTEM

Purpose of the development: Active Protection System aircraft is designed to protect aircraft from defeat guided missiles with infrared homing (IR GOS).

Recommended application field: The civil and military aviation industry.

Advantages over analogues: The development has many advantages over similar products in the tactical, technical and economic terms, namely, expands the possibilities of choosing the route of flight and combat capability of the aircraft to protect against destruction, much less than the cost of their foreign counterparts. Unlike their foreign counterparts, which in most cases on aircraft installed special sensors detect missile launches, the design of the protection system is greatly simplified because of the refusal of the application of sophisticated warning system. The system is reliable and easy to operate and maintain. The main scientific and technical results are reflected in the five monographs, novelty of technical solutions supported by 25 patents for inventions, including 3 overseas.

The development stage readiness: Ready for application

Technical and economic effect: Station "Adros" adopted by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Industrial production plant established by the Scientific and Production Complex "Progress" (Nezhyn) planned sales volume of the system is: on helicopters - about 5,000 units, the aircraft - about 3,000 units. Development of the system was carried out at the National Aviation University and Scientific-production company "Hadron" (Kiev). Testing and refinement of the station "Adros" KT-01AV/AVE - at the State Science Test Center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (Feodosia). For the type of helicopter operators Mi-8, Mi-17, Mi-24/35 has full compatibility with the on-board equipment of helicopters. The principles underlying the functioning of the system formed the basis for the work on the creation of this system to protect the aircraft AN-26, AN-32, AN-140.

Description of the development:
()
The basis of the system of active protection of aircraft put the station opto-electronic suppression "Adros" KT-01AV/AVE that prevents a takeover target and assigns a predetermined flight path to the goal of all known types of missiles with infrared homing. Its coefficient of efficiency of about 70% (in this figure analogs about 20%).
