Комбайн КСП-43 используется при проведении горизонтальных и наклонных до +/-12 град. горных выработок сечением от 12,5 до 38 м кв. по смешанному и чистопородному забоям с пределом прочности разрушаемых пород до 120 МПа и абразивностью до 18мг в шахтах, опасных по газу (метану) и угольной пыли, кроме незащищённых пластов, опасных по внезапным выбросам угля, породы и газа. Управление комбайном - дистанционное с носимого пульта.
