Purpose of the development: Anticorrosive coating based on a two-layer tape "Polizol" cold application is intended for insulation of linear pipe sections, zones of welded pipe joints, and to repair damaged insulation.

Recommended application field: Mechanical engineering.

Advantages over analogues: A characteristic feature of the tape "Polizol" is that unlike similar ribbons foreign firms such as "Polyken" (USA), "Nitto" (Japan), "ALT" (Italy), "Polylen" (Russia), an adhesive layer strip "Polizol" does not contain butyl rubber composition, which is subjected to "run-off" of the pipe under pressure of the soil. As a consequence, foreign materials lose their adhesive properties and within 3-5 years require repair insulation. Thus, the tape "Polizol" has significant advantages over foreign analogues.

Cover "Polizol" has a multilayer structure and is composed of a polymer base - thermo-, light-stabilized polyethylene adhesive layer based on the polymer composition and primer. The total tape thickness 0.65 mm. The tape is applied together with a polymer wrap "Polizol-O," which provides sealing and resistance to water, oxygen, mechanical damage in the repair and paving works, and the primer "REBIT" which gives excellent adhesion to metal and resistance to cathodic detachment.
