Specialists of the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry and Petrochemistry NAS of Ukraine, together with the State Scientific and Production Corporation "Kiev Institute of Automation" and Enterprise "Alpha Stevia" has developed a highly complex processing technology landfill leachate number 5 of the Kiev city solid waste landfills. Technological scheme is fully adapted to the existing infrastructure polygon number 5, designed for processing of up to 1,000 m3 of leachate daily and comprises the following steps: • Deep cleaning of the pre-catalytic oxidation filtrate; • desalination using membranes; • tertiary treatment for bioponds existing regulatory indicators and discharge clean water into the environment; • disposal of the concentrated residue obtained during the catalytic oxidation leachate treatment and desalination membrane methods by creating a layer of insulating material for landfill, the material for road construction or planning of industrial sites or construction materials for industrial use. The developed technology of complex processing of the filtrate was sanitary and epidemiological expertise at the Institute of Hygiene and Medical Ecology. This is agreed by the Institute developed on the basis of the above-mentioned technology feasibility study "Implementation of modernization of the preparation, processing and disposal of solid waste landfill seepage water in a number 5. Pidgirci." As a result - obtained by the state sanitary-epidemiological expertise of 14.08.2008 № 05.03.02-07/52262 for designated feasibility study according to which meets the requirements of current health legislation of Ukraine and can be used in the declared area (utilities) application.
