TECHNOLOGY AND EQUIPMENT FOR CHEMICAL AND HEAT TREATMENT OF FRICTION PAIRS OF TITANIUM ALLOYS IN CONTROLLED GAS MEDIA
Purpose of the development:
Technology and equipment for chemical and thermal treatment of the friction pairs of titanium alloys under controlled atmospheres designed to improve the tribological and corrosion properties of friction pairs of titanium alloys, working with contact loads (up to 10 MPa), including in aggressive environments (solutions of acids, salts, etc.).

Fields of application:
-mechanical engineering, aircraft;
-medicine, treatment of surgical instruments, as well as the appropriate brackets and pins for the treatment of various fractures;
-might also decorative use, because changing the processing conditions can change color part.

Description of the development:
() The technology is based on the diffusion saturation of the surface layers of nitrogen.
The technology provides:
• high resistance to wear and corrosion resistance due to the formation of complex tverdorastvorimyh depth zones

• intensification of the process of saturation at all stages of the process;
• preservation of the strength characteristics of the structure and improve the ductility by lowering the temperature of the process
(750 ... 850 ° C);
• maintaining the high quality of the surface (used as a final processing step);
• formation in the surface layers of the necessary structural-phase state and level control
surface hardening in a wide range (from 7 to 14 GPa) by changing the temperature and time, and
dynamic parameters of the process;
• processing of parts of any configuration including holes of any diameter and length, using
serial vacuum electric and technically pure nitrogen.
