Purpose of the development: The mass spectrometer is intended for recording a mass spectrum using the mass scan by the partial shunting of the magnetic flux in the air gap of the mass analyzer.

Recommended application field: Instrument.

Technical characteristic: The ion- optical scheme of the mass analyzer has a rotation angle of the ions m = 120 ° and the radius of the central trajectory rm = 60 mm. At an accelerating voltage of 1 kV instrument allows to register the mass range from 11 to 23 amu c resolution of about 200. The internal volume of the chamber of the analyzer with ion pump is approximately 500 cm3. Dimensions of the mass spectrometer together with electronics (height / length / width) - 230 x 450 x 450 mm . Power consumption is not more than 60 watts, in standby less than 10 watts ( to maintain a high vacuum) . Weight - 30 kg.

Advantages over analogues: Relatively high analytical performance of this unit suggest that the proposed design can act as a base for the development of a number of specialized mass spectrometers as an academic and applied purposes (ecology, medicine, geology). This device differs from analogues low weight and size, ease of operation and low cost.
