Purpose of the development: Immunodiagnostics of haemostasis system (Rights on the invention are protected by patents of the Ukraine № 73232, №73233, № 73823, № 87375). The combined double-"sandwich" ELISA has been carried out for quantification of fibrinogen, soluble fibrin and D-dimer in human blood plasma on the base of specific monoclonal antibodies obtained in our laboratory. The assay permits to: • quantify simultaneously fibrinogen; • genuine soluble fibrin; • the products of fibrin degradation by plasmin; • fibrin degradation products of thrombus. It allows to: • determine or exclude the threat of thrombus formation at different diseases; • exclude the deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism; • diagnose D1C; • monitor antithrombotic and thrombolytic therapy. There are no analogs in Ukraine and the countries of former USSR. Immunodiagnostic test-systems used at present abroad for quantification of soluble fibrin and D-dimer are unable to differentiate the genuine soluble fibrin and fibrin degradation products produced by plasmin and also differentiate the degradation products of soluble fibrin and fibrin of thrombus. Our methods for distinct quantification of fibrinogen, soluble fibrin and D-dimer were verified in medical institutions in Kiev. We are going to verify the combined double-"sandwich" ELISA method we proposed for simultaneous quantification of these haemostasis parameters.
