IMMUNOASSAY SYSTEM FOR AUDITING THE DIPHTHERIA IMMUNITY IN POPULATION
Purpose of the development:
Immunoassay test system is designed for screening antidiphtheria immunity in the population and to assess the level of antitoxic immunity in patients during the course of the disease.
Recommended application field:
Medicine. Pharmacology. Immunobiologicheskaja This development can be applied to improve the differential diagnosis of diphtheria and to monitor the status of protection of the population against diphtheria.
Advantages over analogues:
Advantages of the new technology. Obtained producer strains Escherichia coly K12 "inv" sbA sbB inactive recombinant A and B subunits of diphtheria toxin that can produce diagnostically important antigenic substance with minimal time , resources, and a high yield of the desired product in electrophoretically pure form. A test system allows to evaluate the level of antibodies to each of the subunits of diphtheria toxin separately, which has a greater diagnostic value than the data on the level of antibodies to all the molecules of the toxin. Levels of antibodies to the toxin B subunit characterizes protective immunity , and the presence of antibodies to the A subunit indicates possible exposure to the causative agent ( carrier or disease). Prototype test system , made in rapid test format , allows you to get the results of analysis for ten minutes , it is extremely easy to use and does not require the participation of qualified personnel.
