Purpose of the development: Purpose: non-destructive inspection of thermal treatment quality, stress-strain properties and structure of products made of carbon and alloyed steel in accordance with established correlation between the inspected magnitude of coercive force and parameters.

Recommended application field: Metallurgical and machine-building enterprises engaged in mass production.

Technical characteristic: Coercimeter KIPF-1 consists of a measurement unit and a converter, including a U-shaped electromagnet, which are connected by a bundle of 1.5 m long. Coercive force measurement range - 100-5000 A / m; The relative error - max. 5%; One measurement time - max. 12 sec; Non-stop operating time - no less than 8 hours; Power consumption - max. 250 VA; Electronic module overall dimensions , no more than 385x265x140; converter - 122x75x85 mm; Electronic module mass - max. 9kg; converter - max. 1,5 kg; Digital display in A / m; An outlet for connection with the PC available (through serial interface RS232).

Advantages over analogues: The replacement of direct measurements of the mechanical properties of mass products by the non-destructive inspection with the help of coercimeter KIPF-1 allows to save metal, to increase labor productivity during checks, to maintain the quality of products.

Description of the development:

The test product is magnetized with the help of attached U-shaped electromagnet then it is switched using descending branch of the magnetic hysteresis loop and when magnetic flux equals zero in the circuit "addl electromagnet - the product" switching current magnitude is measured, which is proportionate to coercive force of the material. The process is automated. The calibration KIPF-1 is conducted according to standard samples. Correlation between the value of the coercive force and controlled parameters is established according to GOST 30415-96.
