HIGH-POWER PULSED MICROWAVE BRIDGE
Purpose of the development:
The device is intended for metrology and certification materials sensory systems pulsed spin resonance methods.
Recommended application field:
Instrumentation, materials science.
Technical characteristic:
Specifications of the unit:
- The number of pulses in the series: 1 - 3;
- Pulse duration: 10-100 ns;
- The pulse power up to 20 W;
- The frequency of recurrence of packs: 100 Hz and 1 kHz
Advantages over analogues:
Advantage of the bridge, compared to peers is its low cost, ease of management , the optimal output power, the minimum pulse width . Low cost of the bridge is provided by the use of pulsed avalanche diodes span ( ATD ) , designed to enhance the microwave pulses , instead of expensive amplifiers traveling wave tube ( TWT ) . Easy to operate is provided by selecting schemes for direct gain for the receiving unit bridge. Output power of 20 W and a minimum pulse width of 10 - 100 ns is achieved by using a two-stage pulse generator coherent .
The development stage readiness:
Ready for application
Description of the development:
() Computer- controlled spectrometer electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) RE1308 Q- frequency range (8 mm) , equipped with a pulsed microwave bridge will allow for certification materials sensory systems pulsed spin resonance methods .
Pulsed microwave bridge configuration with a working frequency of 35 GHz (Q- band frequencies) :
- Shifter , PIN modulator 2 cascade pulse amplifier , amplitude detectors , attenuator , circulator
resonator , the protective device , balanced mixers .
