CONTROL AND MONITORING SYSTEMS OF TRITIUM "TRIUMPH"


Purpose of the development: System "Triumph" is designed to measure the specific activity of tritium and carbon-14 in their beta radiation in the environment, biological samples and technological environments NPP.

Recommended application field: Ecology. Energy. The system can be used with the composition of the laboratory for the analysis of samples containing tritium and carbon-14, on the basis of a liquid scintillator.

Technical characteristic: Main technical characteristics: - Tritium detection efficiency - over 60% ; - The efficiency of detection of carbon-14 - more than 90 % ; - Own background tritium - less than 20 counts / min. - Own background carbon-14 - less than 30 counts / min. - Minimum activity tritium - 12 pulses / min. - Minimal activity on carbon - 8 counts / min. - Sensitivity - 1 Bq / l; - Instability of calibration characteristics conversion per hour of continuous operation does not exceed 2% ; - Radiation energy range - from 5 to 1500 eV ; - The energy dependence in the range from 0.06 to 1.5 MeV + / - 25 % ; - Maximum input statistical load - no more than 10,000 pulses / sec .

Advantages over analogues: The system allows you to remotely and automatically perform radiation control and monitoring of the content in the air and water of tritium and carbon-14 in the field of industrial emissions from enterprises and NPP. Unique algorithms spectra provide ionizing radiation detection and its identification with a high probability.

The system is designed in accordance with the analysis of the results by matching scheme, implemented on the basis of two photomultiplier tubes (PMT). Such an arrangement allows the system to reduce the noise level in the low energy region.
