Present capacity is the most important technical data with the use of trans-atmospheric SE because its value determines the cost of in-orbit autonomous sources of electricity spacecraft. One approach to increasing the power density based on CdTe solar cells is to replace the traditional glass substrate on polyamide film . This provides not only significant weight reduction , but also flexibility , which makes it possible to mount the solar panels on the surfaces of any shape and used for flexible solar battery structure in small aircraft.
