Purpose of the development: Serological diagnosis of breast cancer on the basis of determining the level of autoantibodies against tumor-associated antigens in the blood of cancer patients.

Advantages over analogues: Molecular markers of tumor-associated antigens (TAA) and autoantibodies to them a number of advantages, which creates opportunity for creation on their basis of minimally invasive test systems for the diagnosis of cancer. This new diagnostic tool aimed at as much as possible early diagnosis and timely treatment of breast cancer.

Aim of the project : creation of a prototype test system for minimally invasive serological diagnosis of breast cancer , based on determining the level of autoantibodies against TAA in the blood of cancer patients . In previous studies have previously been identified and characterized , recombinant analogs ( bacterially expressed ) tumor potential SEREX (Serological identification of antigens by recombinant expression cloning) antigens by ELISA using sera from patients with different tumor types , breast cancer and sera from healthy donors . Spotted combination of antigens that will be used for further research in the context of test systems for diagnosis of breast cancer.
