TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT FOR RECOVERY OPTIONS OF LIVER DAMAGE WHILE TRANSPLANTATION OF MESENCHYMAL STEM CELLS (MSCS)

Description of the development:
() Actuality : liver disease , including viral hepatitis, which in Ukraine infected several million people , 90% of cases are fatal , most often the victims are in their prime - 30-45 years. Until recently, the only way of treating end-stage liver cirrhosis was transplantation . In Ukraine, annually 2-2.5 thousand patients in need of liver transplantation , and performed no more than 3 operations. Urgency to develop affordable compared to liver transplantation technology recovery of liver function by transplantation , which will save lives and restore health of citizens is obvious.
Expected results : Development of protocol isolation and cultivation of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs ) with maximum preservation of human multipotent properties in preparative amounts . After determining the functional and structural parameters in the development of liver fibrosis and cirrhosis induced by carbon tetrachloride in rats will develop a protocol recovery of liver function by transplantation of MSCs at different stages of the disease.
