COAL MINE METHANE SHIMMY METER MASS TRANSFER (DS-03)


Purpose of the development: Coal mine methane mass transfer meter (shimmy), an experimental model of the device is designed to measure gas content and pressure of methane in coal seams, determining the mass transfer coefficient of methane in coal mines in hazardous gas and coal dust in accordance NPAOP 10.0-1.01-05., And can also used for the prediction of gas-dynamic zones protivovybrosnyh activity and efficiency measures.

Recommended application field: Coal. Gassy coal seams with volatile 5-40% to 3% moisture, temperature mountain range from 10 to 50 * C and relative humidity up to 100%.

Technical and economic effect: Implementation: Experimental sample unit three modifications introduced at several mines in Ukraine. Prepared the documentation for the transfer device into pilot series. This development is protected by patents of Ukraine (Ukrainian Patent number 89740 "A method for determining the pressure and coalbed methane," IPC (2009): E21F7/00 and Patent of Ukraine № 96884 "Device for measuring pressure and gas content of the coal seam," IPC (2010): E21F7 / 00 Application for "An apparatus for measuring the effective diffusion of gas in coal", IPC (2013): E21F5/00: G01L7/00.

Description of the development:

Shimmy provides the following functions : - Simultaneous independent measurement of the pressure of desorbed methane from coal samples accumulated in the gutters ; - Calculation of the methane pressure (atm ) and its content in the reservoir (cbm / t) ; - Determination of mass transfer coefficients of methane in coal m / sec; - Saves the measurement results in long-term memory ; - Programming the passport formation and setting measurement parameters . For each shahtoplasta laboratory equipment and procedure of the Institute , pre- built passport bearing capacity , the parameters of which are laid in memory shimmy . By comparing the current measurement data in a mine with a passport define indicators of methane and methane pressure in the coal seam . The instrument can determine mass transfer coefficients of methane in coal for the prediction of the formation of dangerous concentrations of methane in clearing faces , assess the gas-dynamic activity areas coalbed protivovybrosnyh and efficiency measures.
