Purpose of the development: Ultrasonic inspection system (DCU) enables the assessment of the technical state of extended objects in remote places by a single installation of the acoustic antenna.

Recommended application field: Oil and gas industry. Utilities.

Technical characteristic: System Specifications: - Diameter controlled pipe - 50 ... 500 mm; - Range control - up to 100 meters (depends on the external coating and pipe condition); - Installation time acoustic antenna - 15 ... 20 min.

Advantages over analogues: Created equipment allows to evaluate the state of extended objects without scanning their surface.

Description of the development:

The system is based on the use of low-frequency guided waves that propagate over long distances from the location of the antenna. Corrosion damage and other defects in metal pipes, ranging in size from 10% of the wall thickness, are detected by the echo signals at a distance of up to 100m.
