Purpose of the development: Pyroelectric energy meter USB WEL-1 is designed to measure the pulse energy as a single and repeated (up to 2000 pulses per second) pulse generating coherent and incoherent radiation over a wide wavelength range (0.2 + / - 12 microns).

The structural feature of the new meter power characteristics of the laser radiation in that it is configured as a measuring head , which is connected directly to a PC , laptop or beech. With built in the head processor and original software measurement data collected and processed , and for further processing and analysis transferred to the computer via the USB port of your computer . The meter does not require refrigeration and operates over a wide temperature range (from -40 to +5 deg. C). Management . Pyroelectric USB meter energy characteristics of the laser radiation is compatible with modern types of computers , connected via USB port without needing a separate amplifying and analyzing unit . Measuring head as sensitive element is a pyroelectric sensor , the active area of diameter 10 mm Thick absorbent composite coating which covers the spectral range from 0.2 to 12 microns, a repetition frequency of the light pulses from one up to 2000 pulses per second. Impulse radiation is incident on the pyroelectric sensor element to generate an electrical current pulse is proportional to the magnitude of the pulse energy of the radiation. Built matching amplifier , a microcontroller and the CPU together in a real-time display results on a computer via a USB interface for further processing and playback. After completion of the necessary calculations , the microcontroller transmits the information to the PC pulse energy value and its amplitude , the time interval between pulses , the pulse sequence number . PC software allows you to record calibrated data and functional parameters of the device , control modes, calculates and displays the status of the measurement result and (energy, average power , pulse repetition frequency measured ) .
