SIMULATION OF GROWTH OF NANOWIRES, STIMULATED BY CATALYST PARTICLES
Purpose of the development:
A program simulator for modeling catalytically activated growth of nanowires and other similar nanostructures. The program is implemented on the platform Win32, programming language - C / C + +, the compiler - Microsoft VC / C + + 5.0.
Recommended application field:
Areas of application:
- Modelling of processes nanosinteza in developing pilot projects and developing the technology.
- Identify growth mechanisms in the analysis of experimental data.
The development stage readiness:
Introduced in production
Technical and economic effect:
Implementation - results were used to control the actual synthesis in:
- Quantum Science Research, Hewlett-Packard Laboratories, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA.
- Institut d'Electronique, de MicroElectronique et de Nanotechnologies, ISEN, France.
- Institute of Semiconductor Physics, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
Description of the development:
() The mathematical model takes into account :
- Adsorption / desorption of gas molecules on the surface of the active nano-objects ;
- Migration of adatoms and mass transfer through the bulk and on the surface of catalyst nanoparticles ;
- The formation of nuclei for the growth of the solid phase growth zonaz filaments.
The simulator allows you to:
- Vary the macro-and microscopic parameters of the process and visualize the process of growth of nano-objects ;
- Recreate a real experiment , generating temperature , concentration , dimension , etc. depending energoaktivatsionnye for rapid growth ;
- To analyze the contribution of individual components of the process , defining a stage that it limits ;
- Export data and graphics to external programs (such as MS Excel).
