UNIVERSAL IONIZATION DETECTOR FOR GAS CHROMATOGRAPHY
Purpose of the development:
Universal ionization detector (IIC) is used to measure the concentration of nearly all (except neon) into the gaseous state by means of a gas adsorption chromatography.
Recommended application field:
Flaw detection of oil and gas pipelines, security systems and controls to identify explosives, narcotics, hazardous substances, etc..
Advantages over analogues:
Universal ionization detector (IIC) may be attached to known chromatographs their structure unchanged.
The development stage readiness:
Introduced in production
Description of the development:
() Through the use of the original thermionic electron source excitation to a metastable state of helium carrier gas instead of radioisotope sources (usually tritium ) , the detector sensitivity in the measurement of concentrations of organic and inorganic gases substantially increased and exceeds the best performance known analogues . The threshold of sensitivity to inorganic gases is 10 [-5 ] - 10 [-6 ] on . % For organic - 10 [ -8] vol. %. Dynamic range of 6-7 orders of magnitude. In addition, improving the design of the helium ionization detector provides an environmentally friendly method for measuring the concentration of substances in the gaseous state .
