TECHNOLOGY FOR SELECTIVE REMOVAL OF RADIONUCLIDES AND HEAVY METAL IONS FROM AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS

Purpose of the development: Technology developed for the reliable removal of radionuclide strontium and heavy metal ions from aqueous solution and keeping them in the structure of apatite. As a sorbent used calcium hydroxyapatite cheap.

Recommended application field: Areas of application: - Ecology - Water treatment industry - Chemical and petrochemical production

Technical characteristic: Specific synthetic surface nanogidroksoapatita: ~ 550 m2 / g Sorption characteristics of nano-sized particles of calcium hydroxyapatite: Entered Sorption, Desorption, radionuclide, Kd, ml / g Bq / ml Bq / ml 61.0 279 42.0 61.0 183 1.48

Advantages over analogues: In the technology is used as a sorbent cheap Calcium hydroxylapatite, the cost of which is 10 times smaller relative to existing foreign counterparts. Sorption of Sr on nanocrystalline hydroxylapatite followed by its conversion to the crystalline state at 650 ° C leads to a 30-fold reduction measure isotope desorption. Isotopes are in the crystal lattice of thousands of years.

The development stage readiness: tested in laboratory condition

Description of the development:
()
The developer of synthetic powders were obtained nanogidroksoapatita (Ca HAP) with a high specific surface area ~ 550 m2 / g, which allows their use as a sorbent technology accumulation environmentally hazardous compounds (Pb, Cd, Cu, F), as well as matrices for disposal of Radioactive Waste (90Sr that 239U). It has been established that 1 g of the porous material removes half of 40 mg strontium, which is a 1 L aqueous solution.
