Purpose of the development: New fcc-based alloy Fe-Ni-XC (X-alloying element) has a low thermal expansion (Invar effect) in the temperature range 100-400 K and exhibits high mechanical properties and fatigue. Can be used as a material in electronics and electrical engineering, etc.

Recommended application field: Areas of application: • Aerospace • Composite molds (molds) for the production of parts of polymer-composite materials, molds for plastics • Moulded and large snap low CTE • dilatometry • Ultrasonic delay lines • Laser Optics • Constructions telescopes • Structural elements tankers for liquid gases • Clock • RF resonators • Electronics
