The invention relates to a new class of "smart " meters , the principle of which is based on the dependence of the reactive properties of transistor structures with negative resistance against external physical quantities. Using this principle, possible to obtain device using integrated technology , improve immunity , accuracy and sensitivity , to extend the range of measured values. The physical quantities (temperature, magnetic induction , optical radiation , pressure , gas concentration , humidity ) are converted into a frequency signal which is supplied to the microprocessor device , where it is processed and transmitted to the display device as a measured value or frequency. It is possible to connect to a PC via the RS232 port and USB 2.0. Using frequency as informative parameter avoids the use of amplifiers and analog-to- digital converters for processing information. The device is a high precision by eliminating the influence of uninformative factors such as temperature and supply voltage variations . Physical quantities , due to the frequency of principle , be measured with an accuracy of ± 0,1%.
