TWO-LAYER TECHNOLOGY OF ELECTROSTATIC ENAMELLING


Purpose of the development: Enamelling of metals using vitreous is one of the most reliable and versatile means of corrosion protection in aggressive environments at elevated temperatures and pressures.

Recommended application field: Enamelling industry: production of goods for domestic purposes (parts of gas and electric cookers, ovens and microwave ovens, refrigerators, water heaters tanks, heat exchangers, sanitary equipment and architectural elements)

Advantages over analogues: - Producing high quality defect-free coatings of uniform thickness, including for mode 2 layers - one firing; - Automation of manufacturing processes; - No wastes; - Reducing energy and resource consumption by 30-40% compared with other technologies enameling; - Reduction of production areas; - High degree of cleaner production; - A simplified and rapid transition from one product to another; - Simplification of metal surface preparation before enameling.

The development stage readiness: Ready for application

Technical and economic effect: The introduction of this technology, energy saving mode single-fired several layers of enamel and developed in NTU "KPI" fusible vitreous compositions provided obtaining competitive high quality products, an increase of 30% utilization steklofrit, reducing energy and labor costs by 40%, production area 3 times and refusal to import enamels. Savings amounted to 2.5 thousand UAH. 1 ton enamels slabs cost is reduced by 20%.
