Purpose of the development: Systems allow automation of the processes of collecting observational data on the state of water, water use and related resources of the basin into a single electronic database, to conduct their evaluation, comparison with normative values, forecasting, visualization, and use of decision support with the aim of integrated river basin management.

Recommended application field: Results of the development can be implemented in the central and territorial divisions MEP, State Committee for Water and other agencies both in Ukraine and neighboring countries, regional state administrations, academia, non-governmental organizations in Ukraine and Europe.

Technical and economic effect: Use of automated systems for data collection and processing system cheaper than existing in Ukraine for river basins in many fields. Increased ownership information on the state of water resources and gidrometeoparametry allow to predict the deterioration of water quality and adverse changes in the water regime and the time to take action.

The system has several unique features , including: automated import and reconciliation of data in various formats into a common electronic data bank with reference to the electronic map , including automatic import of data from the 2-TP " water management " of special water and importing water quality data from the State Committee of departmental computer program ( with appropriate user access rights to such systems ); comfortable workstations for processing and data management under the current methodologies approved MEP , data exchange with other systems in the format of XML; automated generation of any reports prescribed form , processing monitoring data to meet their geospatial binding using geoinformation officially free software can work with remote sensing data . System implemented in the GRID Arendal UNEP ( UN division in Norway ), Mott MacDonald ( UK and the Netherlands , in the projects of the European Commission ) , in public administration of environmental protection and in Vinnitsa , Donetsk region; in basin management river Southern Bug , Dniester , Donets , Dnipro ( for Pripyat ) in the Transcarpathian , Khmelnitsky , Cherkassy , Kirovograd , Odessa , Nikolaev , Volyn, Rivne, Ternopil , Zhytomyr , Lviv oblvodkhozes , sanepidemstantsii and other institutions of Ukraine.
