Purpose of the development: Elimination of casting defects, improvement of critical areas wear-resistance and repair of worn blades.

Advantages over analogues: The technology preserves the initial sizes of the blades, despite presence of internal channels and the blades variable profile.

The development stage readiness: Tested experimental exploitation order

Description of the development:

The technology is based on two processes using high specific energy density. The first process consists in blade surface coating with microplasmous adding material in the form of metal powder with particle size of 50...150 um. The second one is vacuum electron-beam welding for the deposited additive layer burn-off. By means of program control system for heat flows within the boundary of the article area being threated, both assured burn-off the additive layer deposited, and weld penetration of the base material of a blade to a preset depth are achieved.
