COMPUTERIZED SYSTEM FOR DEFINITION OF COHERENCE LENGTH, MODE STRUCTURE AND CHANGE LASER RADIATION WAVELENGTH


Purpose of the development: The instrument is designed to measure the laser - of the coherence length of the laser radiation to determine its mode structure and the wavelength (for example, in semiconductor lasers when the temperature of the emitter and the pumping current).

Recommended application field: The device may be important for all industries that use laser techniques - metrology, precision measurement, etc. It is particularly important to control the parameters of semiconductor lasers, which are not stable and are often not certified manufacturers. It can be used in the electronic, aerospace, mechanical engineering, construction, industry and medicine.

Technical characteristic: 1. The coherence length, mm: 0.1 - 50. 2. The change in wavelength, nm: 0.0001 - 0.01. 3. Measurement time, with: 1. 4. The processing time with: 1. 5. Dimensions, cm: 40 * 40 * 50. 6. Gross weight, kg: 3.0.

Advantages over analogues: Technical parameters and performance characteristics of the developed device compliant with current international instruments relevant class, but thanks to a simplified design and use of components predominantly Ukrainian production, the price on the order of less than the price of western counterparts.

Description of the development:

Operation of the unit is based on the method of phase- frequency modulated speckle interferometry , whereby the device is fast and contains no moving elements. The measurement results (set speklogram ) fixed by the camera and transmitted to a computer that carries out correlation processing and presentation of results. The device is used in research , conducted jointly by the center and laser refractive eye microsurgery " Tarus " (Odessa) and the National Research Institute of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine (Kiev ) .
