Purpose of the development: The development is designed to determine the concentration of chromium (VI) in industrial and natural waters.

Recommended application field: Development can find its application in areas where needs constant monitoring and industrial wastewater, as well as control over the conditions of workers in the chemical, leather, textile industry in order to prevent occupational diseases and poisoning. Development can be realized by the enterprises of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine, Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Industrial Policy of Ukraine, the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Ukraine.

Advantages over analogues: Developed methods differ from existing rapidity, economy, environmental safety, advanced registration analytical signal, as well as the possibility of determination of chromium (VI) in the field of 0.02 - 0.43 mg / l.

The development stage readiness: tested in laboratory condition

Technical and economic effect: Cost analysis of one sample of water by the proposed method is up to Rs 5.

Description of the development:

The formulation of the method of determining trace of chromium (VI) in natural and industrial waters put mutual reaction of oxidation -reduction to its 1,5 - diphenylcarbazide , and 4- sulfo -2 ( 4' - sulfonaphthalene -1' -azo ) 1 - naphthol , followed by formation of the corresponding complex compounds which are removed from the aqueous solution in the dynamic mode, using the test tubes containing resins KU- 2 -8 AB-17- 8 respectively . The concentration of chromium (VI) is determined under laboratory conditions semiquantitative visual colorimetric method using pre- prepared color scale test . Quantitative determination of the concentration of chromium (VI) is carried out in water in an embodiment spectrophotometrically diffuse reflectance spectroscopy . Development is characterized by quick results analysis of the water of the environment without the use of stationary equipment .
