USING HIGH FREQUENCY PLASMA HEATING TO IMPROVE PLASMA CONFINEMENT IN DEVICE WITH CONTROLLED THERMONUCLEAR FUSION
Purpose of the development:
The developed technology designed for fusion plasma heating by high frequency.
Recommended application field:
Thermonuclear installations, tokamaks.
Advantages over analogues:
An advantage of the method is the possibility of the direction of flow of the impurity ions inside or outside the plasma in order to maintain optimal values of radiative losses.
The development stage readiness:
tested in laboratory condition
Technical and economic effect:
Among all the modern methods of heating fusion plasmas high is the cheapest method.
Description of the development:
() Operating modes in tokamaks with the addition of impurities possible to obtain a much higher quality of plasma confinement , which in turn may help reduce the size of a tokamak reactor .
Recommendations were developed by selection of the appropriate phasing HF antenna and radial position of the cyclotron resonance layers for the expected impact on air pollution . Was investigated by a wide range of experimental parameters , allowing to optimize the transfer of impurities by RF heating for a large number of bits with the addition of impurities modern tokamaks .
