The filter is closed , that is, contact with air excluded , that improves further processing. - Serum obtained during the manufacture of cheese, cheese comprises a substantial amount of dust that can be returned to the process (80 % in the production of cheese and 64 % in the production of casein ) . - Cleaning of serum protein dust will significantly improve the conditions of its separation. - Use filter proposed design will effectively clear serum from protein to perform the regeneration of the filter surface and make it impossible to air flow into the serum. - Continuous operation and the possibility of use in companies with different modes and different power .

The development stage readiness: Ready for application

Technical and economic effect: This filter will separate 1.8 kg of cheese dust 1t whey obtained in the production of cheese and casein 0.7 kg whey that is respectively 75 % and 45 % of the total amount of cheese dust , contained in serum. Thus the use of the development will allow to return to the process a significant portion of the protein in the form of cheese dust . Economic effect in the production of cheese is 25 UAH . 1 tons of whey and casein - 10 UAH . Serum t 1 . This indicates that the installation of the filter is also economically viable for small power plants .

Studies have shown that cheese dust has significant adhesive strength . To minimize the negative impact of adhesion during the filtering operation is possible by using as the material of the filtering surface X18H9T steel and ensuring the period of regeneration in the range of 10 - 15c . A design of the filter for cleaning whey from cheese dust , consisting of a cylindrical body , the inlet and outlet pipes , screw guide glass filter element and screw winding . The filter works as follows. Serum is fed into the housing through the outlet passes through the filter member and discharged through the outlet . A protein deposited on the filter element is transported screw which is disposed in the guide glass. Regeneration of the filter element provided by the helical winding , which is fastened to the screw shaft via webs at least at one place and is made of a steel strip attached thereto separate flexible elements , which are in direct contact with the filter surface . For effective cleaning, it is advisable to install the battery serum filters.
