Using techniques allow to obtain reliable information on the status and development of flooding , and to respond in a timely manner to carry out urgent work to eliminate it , in order to prevent an emergency , to mitigate the harmful effects of water.

The technique is applicable to : - Assess changes in the state of reclaimed areas on the basis of observational data , solving direct and inverse problems of filtration in the soil ; - Work on mapping changes in the state assessment floodwater reclaimed areas; - Statistical areas by determining the distribution of groundwater levels or flooding risk areas of the territory; - Assess the efficiency and effectiveness of drainage systems and making decisions about the need for their reconstruction and modernization , optimization options protection projects from flooding ; - Evaluating and monitoring the effectiveness of drainage wells , pumping control of drainage wells on the basis of mathematical modeling of filtration processes ; - Scientific substantiation of design solutions to protect against floodwater areas of agricultural land and human settlements; - Definition of eco-efficiency irrigation regimes to minimize seepage losses .
