POLYGON-CALIBRATION SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING THE LAND SPACE SYSTEMS 710 COP
Purpose of the development:
Polygon-calibration materials can be used in aerospace remote sensing system for control tasks, development, prognosis and monitoring of global, regional and zonal levels.
Recommended application field:
Aerospace control systems.
Advantages over analogues:
Scientific results of the development contain two unique features:
- Full control of space-based radar ground facilities after launch and commissioning of the spacecraft in operation;
- Ongoing monitoring and periodic measurements over a long period of time characteristics of radar during the operation, and on this basis to forecast the timing of radar equipment functioning spacecraft.
Currently world counterparts such polygons-gauge complexes are unknown.

Description of the development:
() Polygon- calibration system provides the solution of problems of verification and periodic recertification process in spacecraft operation characteristics of airborne radar , radiometric sensitivity assessment , periodic calibration radiometric scale and evaluate the accuracy of the binding obtained radar images to geographic coordinates both phases of flight tests , and normal operation . Calibration system provides measurement of the following characteristics of airborne radar space-based microwave range :
- Linear resolution on the ground;
- Radiometric sensitivity ;
- Radiometric resolution ;
- The dynamic range of the radar.
Solutions for all tasks and uses basic reference corner reflectors of different sizes , ie with different effective reflecting surface.
Problems are solved by a system of point radar reflectors in the form trihedral corner reflectors samofazirovannyh offered for areas with a specified time of flight of the spacecraft in accordance with the route of flight .
