Purpose of the development: The development is designed to produce metal balls that can be used in the production of styluses ballpoint pens, ball bearings and other devices as test objects.

Advantages over analogues: The proposed method has several advantages over similar products. In particular, an advantage over existing technology to achieve similar balls by successive blanks running in an abrasive: no waste, i.e. ecological cleanliness of production, and the technology for obtaining an advantage over the beads by running without a possibility of producing an abrasive metal balls of any hardness, low power consumption, i.e. proposed technology relates to energy and resource-saving technologies.

A method for manufacturing metal balls includes fusion bar, office metal droplets under the action of the arc discharge, cooling drops. Melting of the electrode and the separation of droplets carried pulsating current, which vary in size and within such time, which provide continuous arcing power and domination of the pinch effect.
