Purpose of the development: Development is a new highly efficient and secure way of pharmacological correction of closed craniocerebral injury using synthesized drug.

Recommended application field: Development can be realized by the enterprises and organizations of the Ministry of Industrial Policy of Ukraine and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

Advantages over analogues: Development in respect of a new chemical compound, its method of preparation and the pharmacological action, has no analogues. Coordination compound of germanium with wine and nicotinic acid (niacin tartratogermanat (IV)) greatly exceeds the reference product - piracetam ("Pharmak", Ukraine).

The development stage readiness: tested in laboratory condition

Technical and economic effect: Thanks to a one-step synthesis, low energy costs, availability of raw materials in Ukraine for making connections, as well as its high efficiency and low toxicity, the production of a pharmaceutical preparation developed seems profitable. Estimated cost can be calculated after detailed testing and serial production.

Developers have created a pharmacological drug metabolic type - coordination compound of germanium with wine and nicotinic acid , which is recommended for the test as a means of pharmacological correction of closed craniocerebral injury. Laboratory investigations on white nonlinear rats ( according to protocols ) proved that niacin tartratogermanat (IV) characterized by the ability to effectively adjust the display of " oxidative stress " and endogenous intoxication in terms of traumatic brain disease and can be used as a monotherapy in the prehospital phase with the aim of pharmacologic ensure early cerebral protection . Design is made by 100%. Implementation requires further pharmacological studies and clinical trials.
