METHOD OF PURIFYING WATER FROM ALIPHATIC ALCOHOLS
Purpose of the development:
The invention relates to the field of industrial wastewater from extractants - aliphatic alcohols (heptyl, octyl, nonyl, decyl).
Recommended application field:
Technology can be used in the chemical industry and concentrators that use extraction technology at withdrawal and rare-earth metals.
Technical characteristic:
The adsorption process is recommended in the pH range 4-8. Flotation adsorptive removal of wastewater occurs within 15-20 minutes. By subsequent desorption may be accomplished alcohol recovery and regeneration of the adsorbent.
Advantages over analogues:
Comparative analysis made on the basis of patent search (among the leading countries: Ukraine, Russia, Germany, UK, USA, Japan) showed that the essential features of the developed method has no analogs.

Description of the development:
() Designed nonchemical method of purification of industrial waste water from extractants - aliphatic alcohols based on the adsorption of alcohols environmentally sound adsorbent - chitosan (chitosan glucan complex) derived from waste biotechnological production of citric acid. For adsorptive separation (complex adsorbate-adsorbent) use flotation. Adsorption takes place in a static mode, flotation is performed in the flotation machine impeller.
