EXTRACTION OF METALS FROM AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS BY IMMOBILIZED CELLS OF BACTERIA OF THE GENUS PSEUDOMONAS
Purpose of the development:
The invention relates to the field of biotechnology and is used for extracting metals from aqueous solutions.
Recommended application field:
Development can be realized in the laboratories of research institutes, enterprises, waste waters containing heavy metals, environmental bioremediation, as well as for the recovery of precious metals from sewage and industrial waste.
Advantages over analogues:
The developed method is superior to existing analogues technical result, which is to increase the degree of extraction of metals from aqueous solutions, reducing the time the extraction process and simplicity of the process. It allows not only removing metals at high, but at low concentrations. The developed method is close to the natural processes of self-purification of water bodies.
The development stage readiness:
Ready for application
Technical and economic effect:
Economically feasible method does not require expensive imported equipment and materials.
Description of the development:
() The method developed is that, for extraction of heavy metals (copper, silver, cadmium, etc. ) in an aqueous solution containing a metal suspension is administered non-pathogenic bacteria of the genus Pseudomonas, it is vigorously stirred by shaking for 15 min. at 250 grad.tsel . Further, the formation of bio carried flocked , which reagents are added to a solution - of hydrogen peroxide and calcium chloride . Thereafter, the resulting reactant mixture was stirred vigorously for 5 min. Then biofloki separated from the aqueous solution by centrifugation at 3000 g for 15 min. The residual amount of metals in the supernatant was determined by atomic absorption method . The proposed method provides a 99-100 % recovery of metals from aqueous solutions. The method relates to a rapid method , because the contact of bacteria with the metal occurs temporarily - for 25 min.
