TITANIUM ALLOYS SURFACE ENGINEERING BY THERMODIFFUSION OUTFITTED


Purpose of the development: A new approach to engineered surface which comprises forming a structural phase-regulated state, and carbonitride karbooksidnyh surface layers by thermal diffusion in the saturation temperature falls below the polymorphic transformation efficiently in comparison with other methods of diffusion saturation increase wear and corrosion resistance of titanium alloys.

Recommended application field: Titanium and its alloys due to low specific strength, corrosion inertness and high biocompatibility is widely used in aerospace, automotive, chemical industry and medicine.

Modern trends in surface engineering thermodiffusive saturation associated with the formation of coatings based on ternary compounds (carbo- nitrides , carbo oxides and oxynitrides ) . This is due to the fact that the ternary compound which combines the basic structure and properties of binary compounds and compositions in equiatomic substantially exceed blocked. Carbo nitriding . Changing the temperature and duration of oxidation carbo provided to maintain a constant oxygen partial pressure in the dynamic environment provides an opportunity to influence the carbon content of the components in the composition carbooxide , as well as the dimensions constituting the modified layer . Studied that the corrosion rate of samples with and carbonitride coatings karbooksidnym compared to samples with single coatings on two orders of magnitude lower .
