BIOTECHNICAL SYSTEM OF PULSE CONDUCTOMETER FOR BIOLOGICAL CELLS AND LIQUIDS


Purpose of the development: Biotechnical system impulse conductimetry biological cells and fluids used for measuring the electrical conductivity (capacity) of biological cells and fluids in a variable in intensity pulsed electric field.

Recommended application field: Biotechnology. Cellular Biotechnology, cryobiology, biophysics, biomedicine and health, ecology, monitoring and diagnostics in liquid media technology, physico-chemical studies of liquids, rapid analysis of the quality of liquid foods, etc.

Technical characteristic: The amplitude of the rectangular pulse voltage 0-100 In (± 0,1%), the maximum output power of 200 W (50 ohms), the pulse duration of 2-300 ms (± 0,5%), pulse rise no more than 115 ns (at 100 ), with a repetition period of 1-20. The hardware pulse conductimetry animal cells and fluids approved for determining the conductivity in the range of 0.01-2 ? 103 mS with basic relative instrumental error ± 3,5% and the non-linearity of less than 1%. This system can be applied biotechnology, in particular, for various processes electrocoagulation: electrofusion, stimulation, reversible and irreversible electro breakdowns, etc. whose regimes are determined by parameters of conductivity cells pulsed field variable tension.

Advantages over analogues: Measurement of conductivity and capacity of the individual biological cells and fluids in an alternating in intensity pulsed electric field, which allows, in particular, intravital diagnosis of cells and perform all elektromanipulyatsy based on electroporation on a single hardware-based methodological impulse conductimetry. Saves up to 25% of reagents for diagnosing the state of living cells.

The development stage readiness: tested in laboratory condition

Technical and economic effect: Objective assessment of the quality of biological cells, in vivo. Accomplished by measuring the conductivity cell by non-destructive action of electric field pulses. 25% reduction in costs of reagents, increased technological manipulation of cells, establishing the viability and preserve it for future use and biotechnological processes.

Biotechnical system is the only impulse conductimetry complex electronic, mechanical and optical devices comprising: a device for measuring the conductivity; positioners to move microelectrodes, which when measured in sight of an inverted microscope with avtoregulyator temperature table; anti-vibration plate for Jitter microelectrodes and cells in the measurement process. To monitor and video morphological cell dynamics in environments exposed to the field in the microscope built color mikrovideokamera with access to a computer.
