MATHEMATICAL MODEL OF PHASE METER RANGE


Purpose of the development: Mathematical model of assessing the accuracy characteristics of phase optical locators. A mathematical model to estimate the dynamic range of input signals, to optimize the signal-to - noise, reference and measurement channels, as well as assess the impact of the reflection coefficient of the surface location on accuracy of phase opto-electronic distance meter. A mathematical model to evaluate the impact of the volatility of the main frequency of the reference oscillator and the accuracy of measurements of distance.

Recommended application field: Mathematical model is intended for use in training the theoretical foundations of electrical engineering, general optoelectronics, physics, radio engineering in higher education institutions of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. Also, the results can be designed for implementation in the activities of enterprises and institutions that develop phase electro-optical distance measuring devices, electronics devices, radio.

Advantages over analogues: A mathematical model has high reliability and allows you to create as soon as possible with the development of precisely predictable properties, which significantly reduces the cost of opto-electronic devices.

Technical and economic effect: A mathematical model of a phase meter distance is competitive in the domestic market and is the basis for registration of a patent of Ukraine.

Description of the development:

For numerical simulation of optimal parameters of optoelectronic devices in MATLAB a mathematical model of a phase meter distance. In the mathematical model the following parameters: - Parameters of the optical and electrical systems; - The range of the reflection coefficient of the object location; - Sources of noise reference and measurement channels; - The fundamental frequency and the reference generator; - Maximum value of the measuring range; - Maximum value of the measured phase difference. The results of numerical simulation are issued in the form of spreadsheets and graphs.
