Onion is one of the most common and essential crops. A new variety of onion - Violetta. He passed the state test, recorded in the Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine for 2009 and, as a valuable vegetable crop, is recommended for growing in all areas of the country. Violet bow refers to the middle-(growing period 100-110 days), acute varieties of universal use and is suitable for the cultivation of seeds in annual crops. Variety is characterized by the following features approbation: bulbs dense, round or oblong rounded shape (index 1.0 - 1.2), unilocular, two-pyatizachatkovy, weighing 90-100 g They have 3-4 external flake thickness of 0.6 mm, pink to reddish color. Internal juicy scales white with light pink streaks thickness - 0.6-0.8 mm. The dry matter content - 12,0-13,8%, total sugar content - 8.5-9.0% vitamin C - 7.10 mg. The plant is the first year of 8-14 forms dark-green leaves 40-50 length and width of 1.2-2.5 cm thick waxy coating, and the second - 3-4 peduncle height of 80-90 cm. Yields onion turnip reaches 32-35 t / ha, and the seeds - 3.5-4.0 t / ha. Marketability - 90%. The storage period of 6-7 months. Keeping quality of 95-98%.
